About Grégor Quetel
I am currently pursuing a PhD at Télécom Paris in the ACES team (started October 2023). My research revolves around the design of a new type of applicative data collector for Intrusion Detection. Prior to this, I completed an internship in the PIRAT (ex CIDRE) team at CentraleSupelec (Rennes, France), where I also worked in the field of Intrusion Detection. My educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Information and Communication Technology from the University of Turku (Turku, Finland), which was part of the EIT Digital Master Degree program. The first year of my Master’s degree was completed at the Cyberschool (Rennes, France).
My interests in computer science primarily focus on intrusion detection systems, machine learning, and system administration. Outside of tech, I have a deep appreciation for art and art history, domains where, similar to computer science, countless of hours can be spend there. Hence, when not in front of a computer you’ll most likely find me reading, in some exposition, (poorly) attempting improv theater, or climbing artificial mountains.
Why ?
This personnal blog is mostly a place where I share information or write-ups on topics I explored as side projects, work or for the oldest ones, university work. Writing require formalizing, and having clear ideas on what’s being discussed, it helps me to better understand a subject and (hopefully) might help someone someday.
